Snowshoeing at Mt. Hood

Went snowshoeing on Sunday after we got back from Christmas in Seattle. The weather was terrible! It was pouring rain when we got up there and was coming down in sheets!

The three snowshoers: Thor, myself and our friend, Michelle!

Thor & I

Thor early on in the snowshoe -- you can see how wet his jacket is! We were pretty much soaked.

Moving down the trail -- tons of debris in the snow due to the warm weather, rain & wind.

Three very attentive dogs: Laea, Annie & Skylar. Out of the picture Thor is poised, ready to throw a snowball.

  1. The dogs are looking pretty happy but you guys remind me of many a rainy x country ski trip up on Hood!

  3. Hey Sweet Cousin. Did you actually knit that fabulous lamb for Bea? Justin and I are in awe of your talents. You seriously rock! I also love the stocking you made for Thor. I must commission you to make some for my family someday. What talent you have sista! When I showed the lamb to Bea, she grabbed it and her fingers got caught in the hair (which she loves doing to my hair) and she rather aggressively tried to shove it into her mouth, snorting and growling, and wouldn't stop until she found the tail which she chewed on for a few minutes before choking on the fur, but that didn't stop her from subsequent attacks. haha! She LOVES it! I'll try to take a video of it so you can see how funny it is. I have never seen her be so aggressive with any of her other animals or toys. This lamb surely is special:)
