Sunday was mom's birthday and we had a very busy day. My friend Shana (shown here in a random shot of her that I love! She was in a kimono fashion show)

came over to join us for a breakfast of Thor's famous lemon ricotta pancakes and mimosas. You can see here how excited mom was when she learned we'd be serving Champagne with breakfast!

The rest of the pictures from the day just show the table before all the hogs hit the trough -- and mom & grammi serving pancakes.

After breakfast was over we went to a great little garden shop over on Fremont called
Garden Fever. We poked around there for about an hour or so before heading off to the main event of the day - a tour of homes in Portland that garden using
Naturscaping techniques. There were a couple good houses -- and then one that was a complete dump! Overall I think we were all glad it was a free tour and we didn't have to buy tickets to it.
We ended the day with a dinner of chicken sandwiches with my friend
Stacy. There was some tasty leftover lemon cake from the night before so we served that up as b-day cake before putting my mom & grammi back on the road up to Tacoma.
